Oolong Tea

(1 customer review)

£9.95

Not one but two special teas we were able to acquire from the Herkulu Tea Estate in the Usambara mountain. They are currently the only estate to produce speciality teas in Tanzania and pushing the boundaries of African teas. This tea is from the 2022 winter harvest, which means quantities are super limited but the leaves are packed with flavour and natural sweetness. We are the only ones currently offering this unique, premier tea.

This one is definitely a tea for the tea connoisseur and Gong Fu Cha lovers. The tea packs an incredible full body Qi and has flavours of stewed dark fruits with a strong minerality. It really showcases the Tanzanian high mountain terroir.

Comes in a 50g home compostable bag!

Flavour Notes:

Description

We call this the winter oolong tea due to it being from a smaller harvest since the plants grow a lot slower. This means that the leaves are packed with flavour and natural sweetness. The leaves are partially fermented due to being withered in the sun and slightly bruising before being rolled and dried.

This one is definitely for the connoisseurs and lovers of gong fu cha, it packs an incredible full body Qi. The tea has flavours of stewed fruits with a strong minerality. Truly an unique tea coming from Tanzania and showing the potential this region has to make specialty teas.
