Zanzibar Baking Trio | Organic Baking Essentials

Elevate your baking with our Zanzibar baking spice trio, a carefully selected set of single origin, organic spices perfect for cakes, desserts and sweet treats. Sourced from smallholder farmers across Zanzibar, this trio brings warmth, depth and natural sweetness to your baking.

Includes:

Mitakawani Village Ginger
Grown in the village of Mitakawani, this ginger is cultivated by women on small plots of land. After harvesting, it is sun-dried and traditionally hand-pounded into a fine powder, delivering a warm, aromatic spice ideal for baking.

Kidichi Cooperative Cinnamon Powder
Sourced from historic spice gardens in Zanzibar, this cinnamon is carefully prepared by selecting the most fragrant trees. The inner bark is gently peeled and sun-dried, resulting in a naturally sweet and smooth spice perfect for desserts.

Mitakawani Village Cardamom
Organically grown in Mitakawani village, this cardamom offers exceptional depth of flavour. While less uniform in colour, it delivers a rich, aromatic profile that enhances both sweet and baked goods.

Perfect for baking cakes, biscuits and desserts, this spice trio brings together the essential flavours needed for rich, warming and aromatic recipes.

The complex flavour notes of this product include:
Ginger - Cinnamon - Cardamom

Who grew our
Zanzibar Baking Trio?
grown in zanzibar
by our partners
Our spices come from small villages and subsistence farmers. With us you won’t find any large scale, orderly rows of monoculture spice plants. Instead, you will find our spices growing between the banana and jackfruit trees which the farmers use to feed themselves and their families.
